SonaSpray K-13 acoustically treats large projects quickly & economically for superb stadium acoustics
When The Millennium Dome made the change into the O2 Dome, there was a need once again for acoustic ceiling and wall treatment in some of the main public areas. Oscar Acoustics were already familiar with the Millennium Dome, having undertaken three separate projects for the original exhibition before.
For the O2 Dome SonaSpray K-13 in ivory and dark grey was applied to the exterior façades of the Art Deco style buildings within the Dome concourse. The result is an attractive decorative finish combined with excellent noise reverberation controlling benefits, completed ahead of schedule and to the very high standards demanded by the main contractor.
In the O2 Arena, SonaSpray K-13 was applied in black to the rear of the stage to control reverberation. Applying through coloured SonaSpray K-13 in black ensured there was no need to over paint and therefore loose valuable stadium acoustic performance. When spraying in black the ceiling has an endless feel to it.
