SonaSpray controls sound and noise reverberation by absorbing sound energy instead of reflecting it
This unique project is the first ever school building to be built under a motorway and the technical challenges were huge. It involved forming an independent, acoustically separated structure below the concrete framed Westway, next to the Hammersmith and City tube line to control the school acoustics.
Our Oscar Acoustics expertly trained in-house team applied our SonaSpray K-13 acoustic ceiling spray to the ceilings onto plasterboard and concrete at 25mm thick throughout the reception area, stairwells and corridors. Without this acoustic treatment the schools noise levels would have been unbearably high, creating a very stressful learning and teaching environment for the students and teachers.
Our SonaSpray acoustic product range offers the perfect acoustic solutions for schools as it controls sound and noise reverberation in buildings by absorbing sound energy instead of reflecting it, thereby reducing reverberation times and overall noise levels. It also achieves M1 certification for Building Materials emissions and can contribute up to 17 points to the overall LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating of a project helping to create a healthy school environment.
Our SonaSpray acoustic ceiling spray range offers the best acoustic solutions for schools without compromising on design or on education.
