A safe pair of hands
From specification to installation, everything is kept in-house. We only use in-house trained operatives who specialise in installing our systems to ensure the highest quality. We have the most installation teams of any UK acoustic company so should there be a need to expedite the installation to help bring a programme back on track, we may be able to provide multiple teams.
All our staff have every relevant health & safety qualification and more. We regularly send unannounced independent health and safety inspectors to site to inspect and report on our installation teams and they have always scored exceptionally; something we strive to maintain and improve.
We are also CHAS, Achilles and ConstructionLine accredited.
Acoustic specialists - Our service
Our service includes free acoustic appraisals.
Our wealth of experience has enabled us to produce a detailed pre-start checklist to ensure a quality, long lasting installation. This is also an extremely useful tool in assisting contractors with the sequencing of the works.
Our unique systems enable us to work locally from access towers or MEWP’s instead of requiring expensive and inconvenient bird cage scaffolds like many of our competitors. This means that on the most part, non-specialised access is included within our price instead of being a nasty hidden extra.
Within reason, our products are easy to locally and invisibly repair, negating the need for expensive and inconvenient pre-handover resprays, as is required with most other systems on the market. We can train one of the contractor’s labourers to do this before we leave the project should they wish.
Subject to credit references, Oscar Acoustics do not require a deposit upfront. We are financially healthy and are able to fund all materials and labour ourselves. We file monthly valuations.
We have standard detail drawings for most situations. Our experienced team are on hand to assist in the design of bespoke detailing.
We have BIM Objects for all of our products, available to download from our website and the National BIM Library. Our products are also included within all current NBS software.
Oscar Acoustics are RIBA approved for CPD’s. Please contact us to make a booking.
Fire rated, environmentally friendly acoustics
Fire rated acoustics - We are able to present fire certificates on demand to prove our products significantly better the new fire requirement required under the updated Approved Document B. All our products achieve M1 certification for emissions; the best classification available.
The SonaSpray range is made from rapidly renewable resources that sequester carbon, reducing the amount of harmful greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere.
Our products are made from non-hazardous, environmentally friendly recycled materials and contribute towards many sustainable design and health certification systems including BREEAM, Living Building Challenge, SKA, Passivehaus and LEED. It also contributes towards satisfying many features under the WELL Building Standard®: an international performance-based system for measuring, certifying and monitoring features of the built environment that impact human health and wellbeing, through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind, with a mission to improve human health and wellbeing through the built environment.
We have taken steps to reduce our environmental impact and demonstrate our commitment to protecting the environment by achieving ISO 14001 certification. ISO 14001 is a standard under which independent auditors test the effectiveness of an organisation’s environmental management systems. Attaining the accreditation means we have proven we follow and comply with recognised international standards and operate in an environmentally sustainable manner.
The assessment process is rigorous and encompasses every aspect of the business. In order to be compliant with the criteria to achieve the standard, we have defined and set environmental objectives and assigned roles, responsibilities and authorities throughout the company to help achieve them. By implementing a quality management system we can identify, control and record the organisation’s environmental aspects and related impacts.
